Easing Into Holiday with Vera Bradley

While I’m not quite ready to go into full “holiday” shopping mode (can we get through Thanksgiving first, please??), I can’t deny that the sprinkling of holiday themed gifts throughout stores have been catching my eye. I personally still have a few weeks before I actually start shopping for gifts, however, I popped into Vera Bradley recently and they’ve started to curate their holiday collections and it’s all so cute and cozy!

Paris Plaid Plush Throw Blanket, $60

Not every piece is holiday-themed, however, the pieces that are are quite cute and a perfect way to eaaaase into the season if you were trying to get a head start on things. They still have some of their traditional pieces in stock (like this gorgeous travel bag in Olive Leaf), so don’t worry if you aren’t ready to ease into holiday either, lol.

Must-Have Mother’s Day Gifts

Countdown to Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day is this upcoming Sunday (May 9th), and if you’re like me, you tend to wait til the last minute to get gifts for this holiday. It’s not that you don’t care about the special moms in your life, buuuut… you know that most retailers wait til 1-2 weeks before to put out the best gifts, and sometimes have the best deals. Ha!

Anywho, you can safely shop in-store for gifts again, and I wanted to share a roundup of gifts that any mom would love. Countdown to the Day of Looove! Valentine’s Day will definitely look different this year (dinner for 2 at home, anyone?), but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate each other and exchange a sweet gift or 2. Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is this upcoming Sunday, May 10th, and while Memphis hasn’t gotten back to “business as usual”, we have been given the green light for businesses and retailers to slowly begin opening back up this week, including Saddle Creek. It will be handled in phases and obviously safety will come first, but if you’re someone that won’t have time to order anything online for Mother’s Day but still want to give a gift that isn’t a gift card, you may be able to call ahead to order for curbside pickup or visit a retailer to get what you need to treat the special moms in your life.

Be sure to call or check ahead before visiting these shops, as each retailer will be operating under their own plan, and remember to be safe and practice social distancing while you shop. Mother’s Day may look a little different this year due to Covid-19, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still celebrate the ones that you love.

My tip for Mother’s Day gifts this year are items that they can use to pamper themselves, that are cozy and comfortable for them to lounge around in, things for the home, or items that they may need to jhoosh up their everyday wardrobe.

Now that February is here, people are scouring the net and visiting their favorite spots trying to find the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for their significant other. This is the norm, but I’d be ignoring the pink elephant in the room if I didn’t speak on some of us getting distracted and buying things for ourselves too, lol.
